Beginning on November 28 this year, Hanukkah is just around the corner! Here’s a list of the best family-friendly events in Philadelphia that will make sure you and your family can celebrate the Festival of the Lights in the best way possible.

Menorah Lighting

Where: Betsy Ross House, 239 Arch St.

When: November 28, 4:30 pm

What could be better than a community menorah lighting to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah? Bring the family along and take home some treats – traditional Hanukkah gifts for all the guests.

Chanukah Party

Where: Chabad of Penn Wynne, 7571 Haverford Avenue

When: November 29, 5–7 pm

A Dairy Dinner buffet, Glow in the Dark Dreidel Room, Chanukah Wheel of Fortune, and carnival games & crafts. It’s fun for the whole family to enjoy at just $10 per person. Want to join in? You can RSVP here.

Hanukkah Service

Where: Headhouse Square

When: November 30, 5 pm (arrival at 4:45 pm)

It wouldn’t be Hanukkah without songs, prayers, and the traditional ceremony of the lighting of the menorah. Followed by a short service, this is one for all the generations to enjoy together.

BZBI Pop-Up Party

Where: 18th and Spruce Streets

When: December 1, 6 pm

Bring the whole family along to BZBI’s Youth and Family Pop-Up Hanukkah party. Holiday goody bags, festive music, hot chocolate and more awaits. 

Hanukkah Dreidel Giveaway

Where: Franklin Square, 200 N. Sixth St.

When: December 4, 6 pm

Stop by for the Hanukkah Dreidel Giveaway and stay for the spectacular Electrical Spectacle Holiday Light Show, which will be going off every half hour to add to the festive atmosphere.
