6 Wineries, Breweries, and Distilleries to Visit to Brew Up Some Fun

Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to spend some time out in the sun! What could be better than lounging about in the fresh air, sipping on a brew or two? Exploring local area wineries, breweries and distilleries is twice as fun when you book a party bus, or a shuttle for a custom tour. You won’t have to stress about picking a designated driver, planning routes, or parking.

Stone Barn Cellars Winery

Enjoy handcrafted wines in a 150 year old stone German barn overlooking the French Creek. The tasting room is now open on Fridays from 3 pm to 8 pm and Saturdays from 12 pm to 6 pm with live music on Saturdays. You can enjoy bottle service in the deck and picnic area while enjoying the lovely weather. No reservations are necessary for tasting flights but seating is limited to an hour if other guests are waiting. You can also rent out the entire winery if you’ve got a wedding, birthday party or special occasion you’d like to celebrate with a bit of privacy. 

Paradocx Vineyard

Nestled amidst the rolling hills of southern Chester County, Paradocx Vineyard creates some unique wines from homegrown grapes. There’s always an exciting event happening here, from live music performances to wine and paint nights and brunches. Don’t miss sitting out in the patio and pairing their wines with some artisanal, locally sourced cheese. 

Root Down Brewing Co.

Situated in the og building of the old Superior Beverage Co. Root Down Brewing Co. is a massive 13,000 sq feet space. Get ready for a beery good time with a whopping 16 different types of craft beer on tap ranging from a Milk Stout to a Double IPA. They also have a full kitchen with vegan options on the menu, and some recreational activities you can try in the back like video games, cornhole and more!

Stickman Brews 

If you’re serious about brews Stickman is the place for you. With two locations in Royersford and Chester Springs, the main brewery and taproom is located at the former. On average there are over 20 types of brews available with a focus on seasonality made in small batches, so be sure to check what’s on the menu before you visit. Masks and face coverings are required when stepping into their establishments. 

Bluebird Distilling

A true grain to glass distillery, all the spirits Bluebird serves are distilled on site using their state-of-the-art hybrid copper still. Their main location in Phoenixville is open from 4 pm to 11 pm on Monday through Thursday and 1 pm to 11 pm on Friday through Sunday. Learn about making whiskey in the barrel room and enjoy cocktail service in the outdoor heated patio. 

Five Saints Distilling 

You can find this distillery in a pretty unique location. Set up inside the historic Humane Engine #1 Fire House, try a variety of Premium, Small Batch, and Hand-Crafted Spirits! Head down for firehouse distillery tour which includes free tastings in their tasting room-bar. You can also try some of their signature cocktails. Make things simple by booking your tour online!
