Our Story

I was looking to plan a night out just with my wife. Something fun, something different, something that would be memorable. I use a local transportation company when I travel for work so I called the concierge I always work with at Kevin Smith Transportation Group to ask for some ideas.

She suggested we consider a visit to Cardinal Hollow Winery. She told her she had booked services for 3 groups over the last month and they all raved about how great the place was. That was good enough for me.

Cardinal Hollow Winery

Cardinal Hollow Winery is open 7 days a week and offer more than 25 locally grown wines. Located just 30 minutes north of Philadelphia, PA, they specialize in very unique wines, including a jalapeno wine and an organic strawberry and blackberry.

While local drop-ins are a core part of their business, Cardinal Hollow Winery also accepts larger groups with their private tasting rooms holding up to 65 people. So groups of any size are encouraged to visit and sample some of the amazing wines they offer.

Our Wine Tour

I arranged to be picked up in a stretch limousine. They arrived at 6pm on a Friday night and we headed over to Cardinal Hollow Winery. It is only a 25 minute drive to the winery so we asked him to take the long way!

We arrived and went to the tasting room. We sampled some of their wines, a selection much larger than I expected. They had everything from dry to sweet, seasonal to dessert wines. They even had a 2008 Reserve Cabernet Franc that was ridiculously good.

After the tasting, the winery was hosting a comedy night, offering food and drink specials. The lineup was a riot and we laughed the entire night. It was such an amazing night and different from just the usual night out for dinner.

The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and there was an air of professionalism but also an energy of fun. Cardinal Hollow Winery is definitely a place I could see becoming a regular stop for us.

Fun Facts about Cardinal Hollow Winery

Cardinal Hollow Winery is owned by Chris Boyd, who is also the Winemaker. Line many great winemakers, Chris says winemaking is in his blood and from the variety of wines they produce, I would have to agree.

While almost every venue has the traditional tasting room and Cardinal Hollow Winery is no exception, Chris has taken an outside approach to pairing his amazing wines with live entertainment.

Some of the unique events include comedy nights, a murder mystery night and wine education classes. In the summertime, you also can explore their summer wines, including strawberry, blueberry, cranberry and apple flavors.

One specialty drink that is a must taste is their summer frozen margaritas. However, with more than 25 wines on their menu, the last thing you will feel when you leave Cardinal Hollow Winery is thirsty!

Transportation Options

If you are considering booking a Wine Tour with Kevin Smith Transportation Group, know that there are many vehicle options to choose from.

Stretch Limousines

Kevin Smith Transportation Group offers a variety of stretch limousine options when we called them. They included Lincoln MKT’s that could handle up to 8 passengers and a gorgeous white Stretch Denali that could handle up to 18 passengers.

Party Buses

When we called, the Party Bus options were amazing. Besides all of the extra space you get, the music, televisions and other features made it a really nice option. The coolest option was that they have Party Buses for groups of to 28. For those people planning a Wine Tour for a large group, these are perfect.

Luxury Sedans and SUV’s

For smaller groups or couples, a luxury sedan or SUV is perfect. You don’t have to worry about driving while tasting all of the amazing wines that are offered at the Pennsylvania Wineries and you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the entire experience.
