Our Story
My wife and I have enjoyed the local wine scene for years but for the holidays this year, wanted to do something different or taste something different than we previously have.
After convincing two other couples to join us, I came across Pinnacle Ridge Winery, nestled outside of Kutztown bordering both the Berks and Lehigh county wine trails. I booked an amazing stretch limousine for the day and we were off for our most memorable wine trip yet.
Pinnacle Ridge Winery
Located in the heard of “Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country”, Pinnacle Ridge Winery has been making wine for more than 20 years. Housed in a renovated barn originally built in 1851, every visitor feels like they are stepping back in time when they visit.

Our Wine Tour
Pickup was 11am and the limo arrived to cheers from the group (you are never too old to celebrate a ride in a limo)! We loaded in some snacks and adult beverages and started on our journey.
The winery was 90 minutes from our house and that made for a fun ride. Sitting in the back of a stretch limousine makes every ride go fast.
We knew the winery had a policy about limos on their properties so we were dropped off just off-site and walked up to the Barn.
We were not disappointed by the experience. To say the tasting room is “cozy” would be an understatement. While the winery discourages larger groups, you can see why when spending an afternoon at their facility.
The weather was warmer than normal for December so we spent some time outside at their picnic tables. When it was time to leave, we felt the entire day was something different than what we have experienced when visiting other wineries.
Fun Facts about Pinnacle Ridge Winery
Open 361 days a year, Pinnacle Ridge Winery has been making wine for more than 20 years. They present a summer concert series (we heard about it while we were there) and one local strongly recommended we come back and check it out.
Transportation Options
If you are considering booking a Wine Tour with Kevin Smith Transportation Group, know that there are many vehicle options to choose from.
Stretch Limousines
Kevin Smith Transportation Group offers a variety of stretch limousine options when we called them. They included Lincoln MKT’s that could handle up to 8 passengers and a gorgeous white Stretch Denali that could handle up to 18 passengers.
Party Buses
When we called, the Party Bus options were amazing. Besides all of the extra space you get, the music, televisions and other features made it a really nice option. The coolest option was that they have Party Buses for groups of to 28. For those people planning a Wine Tour for a large group, these are perfect.
Luxury Sedans and SUV’s
For smaller groups or couples, a luxury sedan or SUV is perfect. You don’t have to worry about driving while tasting all of the amazing wines that are offered at the Pennsylvania Wineries and you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the entire experience.
Last Words
Wine Tours are a lot of fun in groups. If you are planning a Wine Tour in 2019, we strongly suggest considering asking some friends to join us.
