Thesis

A top-tier venue was booking more than 75 Weddings a year and more than 250 corporate meetings.  Many of their clients were requesting transportation services, especially their Wedding clients.

It was their belief that by partnering with a luxury brand and bundling that transportation into their Wedding packages, they could improve the overall experience of their clients and at the same time, offer a more full-service Wedding experience.  

Key Challenge

How to bundle transportation with their Wedding packages was the challenge.  They wanted a solution that would streamline the process for their clients, drive up room nights and ultimately be a win over their current process.

Currently, clients were required to book their transportation separately and the property was not leveraging their own relationships with transportation companies to provide a win-win for their own clients. 

Alternatives

An alternative was to just suggest a preferred provider.  However, this meant that their clients could still land with sub-par providers, resulting in an experience that would be less-desirable, reflecting poorly on their own venue.

Proposed Solution

We proposed bundling their transportation into their agreements, both for Weddings and Corporate meetings.  As we had this arrangement with more than a dozen venues already, we were able to lay out the specifics, enumerating their ROI with real world examples.

In addition, we were able to offer up a save for their clients, resulting in a win for them while driving revenues back to the venue.  The shared win was the perfect solution where all parties came out ahead.

Lessons Learned

It was a reminder to us that the wins we have with our existing clients will translate well to others we don’t work with currently.  We need to continue to introduce what we are seeing as Best in Class to every perspective client we engage with.
